“He who has health has hope, and he who has hope has everything” – Arabian Proverb

Every person deserves a healthy and happy life. Good health is like an investment that contributes to the social and economic development of communities. However, poverty and various other factors can impact health significantly among the underprivileged section of society. Lack of a nutritious and balanced diet and limitations in accessing basic healthcare services can make matters worse. As a result, mortality rates are quite high here in this stratum. Diagnosis and treatment of ailments at the right time can make a big difference.

At, Astral Foundation, we are undertaking steps to provide a balanced diet and promote quality healthcare programs for the underprivileged section of our society. By supporting such programs, we wish to strengthen our society from the roots.

The COVID-19 pandemic has tested the health infrastructure of the entire world. We undertook measures to create awareness, protect employees, channel partners and frontline workers to strengthen the fight against the pandemic.

We also facilitated PPE kits, BiPap, ventilators and Patient Monitoring Systems Stethoscopes, N-95 masks to safeguard doctors and other frontline workers. As well as Ration Kits and food packets for marginalized communities.

The Arogyam Project

Good Heath is real wealth one can have. We are a growing country with the second largest population in the world. Healthcare facilities for everyone is a challenging task. It is still distant from deprived communities and for those who are living in villages. Astral Foundation aims to enhance accessibility and facilitate healthcare to the underserved by working on the grassroots level to bring change and strengthen the healthcare system through various programs. Astral Foundation has initiated an extensive healthcare project name “Arogyam” with the Technical support of District Health Department, Gandhinagar district, Government of Gujarat. In this project, 11 villages of the Gandhinagar district will be covered for providing healthcare facilities to pregnant women, adolescent girls and the general villagers for the next three years. Following are the three major objectives of this project. Reduce anaemia risk and iron deficiency in pregnant women by providing nutritional biscuits made by Sumul dairy, which have high nutritional value and are prepared under the technical guidance by the State center of excellence for IMSAM & Nutrition. Access to primary medical service at village level by providing medical van along with driver to facilitate the timely health services. Other than this Astral Foundation will arrange the ANC check-ups, medical camps, and free primary medical services at the village level. Improve menstrual day hygiene among adolescent girls by sensitizing and creating awareness about it and providing free sanitary pads to maintain menstrual hygiene.
